GENERAL SOY WAX
CANDLE BURNING TIPS

Always burn your candle at least until the wax has liquefied to the edge of the jar, this will ensure even burning. If your candle does not burn long enough to liquefy to the edge of the jar it may start to tunnel. What this means is the soy burns down the center leaving wax on the sides of the container thus, creating a tunneling effect.

Do trim wick(s) before burning your candle for the first time.  Trim mushrooms that develop, but keep wick(s) 1/2" to 1/4" long so the candle burns properly.  Be sure to trim your all natural wicks with a wick trimmer or a pair of scissors.  Do not use your fingers or you may break off your wick(s).

Because soy candles burn slower than paraffin, we must use thicker wicks to melt the soy to the edge of your container.  The wicks may cause smoke if they are not kept trimmed.

Here are a few do's and don't for your Heavenly Scents Premium Soy Candles

TRIM YOUR WICKS BEFORE EACH USE

DO NOT MOVE YOUR CANDLE WHILE
BURNING OR WHILE WAX IS HOT

NEVER LEAVE CANDLES BURNING UNATTENDED

ALWAYS KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN AND PETS

DO NOT BURN CANDLE WHEN WAX
REACHES 1/2" FROM THE BOTTOM

JAR CANDLE CARE TIPS

Glass containers are fragile so handle with care. Avoid glass to glass contact when handling the lid, and don't use jars that are cracked, chipped or scratched. Discontinue use of candle when soy reaches 1/2" from the bottom of the container, as glass may shatter. Extinguish carefully before replacing the lid. Soy candles tend to have a flaky crusty appearance on the tops once they have been burned, this is normal.

STORING SOY CANDLES

Soy candles are very sensitive to temperature and light, so be careful when storing them for any extended period of time. Store candles in a cool, dry place away from heat, direct sunlight or fluorescent light.

Storage temperature should not be allowed to exceed 80ºF or fall below 32ºF. Follow these guidelines when traveling as well; extreme temperatures in your car will easily melt or freeze our fine candles.

Should your candle melt or "sweat" due to heat exposure, simply move the candle to a climate controlled area, check the wick to make sure it is centered and your candle will set back up in minutes.
